The Elite Collection One Tambon One Product
The Community Development Department is leading a group of OTOP product entrepreneurs from Quadrant D to elevate their quality standards in the food and beverage category over 96 products, “The Elite Collection One Tambon One Product” is embarking products launch in the United Arab Emirates under the theme “Thai OTOP Product – Thai Food Festival.” This event is scheduled to take place from September 8-10, 2023 at Souk Al Marfa in the United Arab Emirates.
Ms. Natthanit Inthasara, the Director of the Bureau for the Promotion of Local Wisdom and Community Enterprises, stated that the event “The Elite Collection One Tambon One Product (OTOP) : Thai Food Festival” in the United Arab Emirates is a part of the project focused on developing Quadrant D OTOP products to meet higher standards of quality. The Community Development Department has provided an opportunity for 96 food and beverage products out of the total 963 products in the program to undergo comprehensive development. This development follows market principles, encompassing production and extending to promoting sales in both offline and online markets to expand the customer base. Additionally, this initiative creates opportunities for access to both Thai and international market.
In this event, a total of 96 outstanding and intriguing products were showcased, demonstrated, and offered for tasting to the visitor and buyer. This was done to provide firsthand experience with the products in the project and to open up the market in the United Arab Emirates. The food and beverage market in the United Arab Emirates is highly captivating due to various factors such as high per capita income, increasing labor force, popularity of Thai flavors and cuisine, and the potential of the United Arab Emirates as a starting point for penetrating the Middle Eastern market. Besides accessing the market within the UAE, there are also opportunities to access the Middle Eastern market including, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar, where there is a strong market for Thai products. This presents a promising avenue for future market expansion.
