About Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia or by its official name, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It’s an Arab state located in Southeast Asia, covering a large area in the Arabian Peninsula with a size of approximately 2,149,690 square kilometers. Saudi Arabia is the second largest state in the Arab world after Algeria. Saudi Arabia shares borders with Jordan and Iraq in the north, Kuwait in the northeast, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates in the east, Oman in the southeast, and Yemen in the south. Saudi Arabia is the only country with coastlines on both the Red sea and the Persian Gulf. Majority of the terrain consists of desert.

Saudi Arabia has the largest oil reserves in the world, about 260 billion barrels or a quarter of the world’s oil reserves. An estimated two-thirds of the country’s revenue comes from oil exports.
